How to deal with writer's block?
It's simple, tick-tock.
Let madness rome free, go insane.
Look for the words..words words..
In the midst of PAIN!
Get on all four and grope,
Till you find a trace.
Take it easy, this is no race.
Dirty dirty.
Thank heavens for soap.
Have you any gum to chew?
Look a secret passage that will lead you through?
Zork. Eaten by a Grue.
Don't go forward in vain,
Hannibal Lector will eat your brain.
Fly up, dig down.
I would of liked the crown.
Left or right?
Egg whites.
No limits in the mind.
No such thing as confined.
Read this,
While I reminisce.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Some poems rhyme
But this one doesn't.
Another!
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you.
But the roses are wilting,
The violets are dead,
The sugar bowl is empty,
And so is your head.
Let me simply put, in good english plain.
A true writer isn't one who forces his brain.
Order and structure..just plainly sucks.
Oh shucks, where did I put my neutron flux.
If you cannot go in a straight line,
Try another configuration or simply swallow a lime.
You don't know what will happen,
Why should you bother or care?
Give into the madness,
Do you dare?
Michael! this is so good. The first Stanza is my favorite. and "the roses are red, violets are blue" parts made me chuckle. It was very well written. I enjoyed reading it, good sir :D
ReplyDeleteI really liked this poem, Mike! I really wasn't expecting anything that you said here. And I didn't understand all of it, but that was probably the point. This was very well written, good job! :)
ReplyDeleteWell Kahn, I can't say I'm surprised at any of this. In addition to that I can clearly tell that you "Let madness rome free". Creative nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your poem! I liked how you added humor to it and you got creative. It made me laugh :)
